Documentary shorts

Sometimes we tell stories for their own sake.

As a team, we’ve made two short films about people tested by natural forces beyond their control: This Place Called Nuka and Home or High Water. Both stories inspired us, but in entirely different ways.

More recently, we filmed a loving snapshot of Portland, which is also a portrait of Rosie and her bicycle. We called it Ride the Veins.

Jeff and Angela wanted to have a camping trip that never ended, and to see if they could live off the land. So they dropped out of college to attend the “school of life.”

As sea levels continue to rise, coastal communities are trapped between the reality of climate change and the antiquated political policies that threaten their future.

Portland has grown and changed over the decades, as cities will. But the Portland we love persists. We wanted to capture a version of it that locals would recognize, circa 2024.
