Oregon Jewish Museum
and Center for Holocaust Education

Sheepscot augments marketing and development capacity for the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education.

Our engagement with OJMCHE began in early 2025 in the midst of a leadership transition, as the organization was beginning a strategic planning process. Sheepscot was brought on to support the Museum’s communication via email newsletters, social media and OJMCHE.org, and to manage PR for specific programs, exhibitions and events.

Remarkable, measurable results followed: greater engagement online, increased attendance at events, notable media hits and enhanced internal capacities. Services include:

  • Strategic communication support

  • Social media

  • Email marketing

  • Public relations

  • Fundraising communication

  • Event marketing

  • Photography

  • Graphic design

Social Media Engagement and Growth

In the first year of our work together, OJMCHE saw increased reach and engagement across both of their primary social platforms. One of the organization’s strategic goals is to engage millennial and younger Gen-X audiences in their programs, so we placed an intentional focus on optimizing messaging on Instagram.

The proof is in the numbers:

Instagram

100% increase in content interactions
1,300% increase in follows
61% increase in visits

Facebook

263% increase in content interactions
64% increase in follows
9.6% increase in visits

Elevating the Organizational Profile with PR

Through targeted media outreach, Sheepscot helped the Museum secure press coverage that increased attendance at its exhibitions and programs. Our support and strategic direction has elevated OJMCHE’s organizational profile, one of the Museum’s top strategic goals.

Changes to the marketing plan for the 2026 Portland Jewish Film Festival yielded significant increases in ticket and pass sales over the previous year.

To build relationships and cultivate cachet within the film festival world beyond the Museum’s immediate audience, we launched and populated a new Instagram account and created an email newsletter specifically for the Festival. We also helped elevate the profile of the Festival and the Museum by securing several key media appearances for visiting filmmakers and Museum staff and volunteers.
